Winrock International requests the support of a Farmer-to-Farmer volunteer for a 14-day volunteer assignment (including travel) located in Bugbelle in the Sissala East District of the Upper West Region of Ghana. The volunteer will assess the Rural Organization of Women Farmers and Agro-processingDevelopment (ROWFAD); review its business plan and train the senior staff on management and networking skills. ROWFAD’s specific activities include cultivation and processing of crops such as groundnuts, soybeans and shea butter. Other activities include tree planting, beekeeping, irrigation farming, aquaculture, and youth empowerment. ROWFAD works with 51 farmer groups made up of 1750 members of which 80% are women.
