Seed-to-Plate Nutrition Educator [TX]

Recipe for Success is looking for a part-time educator with a college or university degree; two to four years related experience with non-profit organizations, culinary, garden/agricultural, and/or field teaching; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At all times act as an ambassador for Recipe for Success, its mission and initiatives and seek every opportunity to further that mission through outreach to teachers and parents as well as children and the community at large.

You should be the type of person who naturally brings creative ideas to the table. You must be knowledgeable and passionate about the environment, health, sustainability, food systems and organics. You must be someone who can give people a reason to believe. To perform this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies: Outgoing, engaging personality; ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with RFS staff, Board, Volunteers, Benefactors and Community Partners; ability to manage and complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; outstanding organizational skills; ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as following recipes, budgeting, frequency, distribution; tracking, reporting & planning; and ability to define problems, research solutions, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
