Stony Creek Colors (SCC) is a growing company with a policy of equal opportunity and non-discrimination in employment. They are committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment with opportunities for growth and professional development as part of a collaborative team. Join a team leading the sustainable transformation of the textile chemicals industry and growing one of the most incredible plants on earth!

Tobacco farmers in Tennessee and Kentucky are seeking sustainable, alternative crops as tobacco contracts continue their massive contraction. Stony Creek has shown terrific success in transitioning tobacco growers into indigo as a value added cash crop. SCC is planning our expansion facility to meet market demand and widespread producer interest.  To do that SCC needs consistent crop production and needs an awesome agriculture manager!

Prefer 3+ years of farm management experience in mid-scale farm production using progressive row crop farming techniques and at least 5 years farm experience running and transporting a variety of agricultural equipment. Manager will be responsible for implementing safety policies and practices according to company standards. Must be personable and organized, with occasional need to lead a farm crew, as well as communicating crop projections and coordinating with other employees. This is an excellent opportunity for a long-term position or for an individual ultimately seeking to manage their own farm but requiring more resources or experience producing a niche specialty crop in a growing market. During the off-season, manager will assist in other areas of the facility setting up equipment, assist in biomass handling for other crops and other duties around the farm. Other off season responsibilities include financial, production, and growth planning, as well as coordinated supply-chain planning with processing plant manager.
