Next month the Xerces Society will be offering a one-day short course on conservation biological control in Arkansas called Farming with Beneficial Insects for Pest Control. The course will be held in Stuttgart at the Rice Research and Extension Center on November 8. Additional course details and info can be found below as well.
This course is focuses on the predatory and parasitoid beneficial insects that can be of value to natural pest control on farms as well as how to support them with the creation of habitat and thoughtful farming practices. This course is funded through a Southern SARE grant and is scheduled for November 8. The Xerces Society has partnered with the University of Arkansas to offer the course, and our target audience is farmers, extension, NRCS staff, and other agricultural support staff.
