Do you work at NRCS or with a State or University Ag program? Register for one of our Organic Horticulture & High Tunnel workshops June 17-21, 2013. There is no charge for any of the sessions, but registration is required. Lunch will be provided for registered participants!
Are you a Sustainable Farmer? On Monday, June 17, in a special collaboration with the Alliance for Sustainable Agricultural Production, we are offering this same workshop training to interested sustainable farmers. Please join us at the ASAP Demonstration Farm or a site near you!
Monday, June 17, ASAP Demonstration Farm, Goodman, MS
Tuesday, June 18, Danny Daniels Farm, Meridian, MS
Thursday, June 20, Wise Family Farm, Pontotoc, MS
Friday, June 21, Francis’ Flowers and Herbs Farm, Pickens, MS
Each training event will feature farm tours followed by classroom sessions - led by practitioners Mark Schonbeck, Mark Cain and Andrew Williams, who each have deep personal and practical experience with commercial organic and high tunnel farm enterprises. The focus will be on production of specialty crops on smaller farms, and will include discussion of how NRCS cost share and technical assistance can be profitably applied on these farms, especially in operations with organic and/or high tunnel production.
Come out and meet us in Mississippi!
