Southern SAWG Conference is a Natural

January 18-21-2012

We’re heading to “The Natural State”—Little Rock, Arkansas to be specific—for Southern SAWG’s 2012 “Practical Tools and Solutions for Sustaining Family Farms” Conference. Little Rock, located between the fertile Delta and the beautiful Ozarks is a growing hotspot for the local foods movement and is a natural fit for us!

The Peabody Little Rock hotel is our conference headquarters, with the same great rates you’ve come to expect at our conference. And yes, they will have the famous Peabody red carpet ducks march twice daily while we are staying with them.

To sweeten the deal, The Peabody is extending the number of days to use the conference rates so you can stay and enjoy the Natural State. The hotel is located on the banks of the Arkansas River, in the heart of the River Market District with river walks, restaurants, nightlife and museums. Also close by are the William J. Clinton Presidential Center, and Heifer Village and International Headquarters. Numerous state parks, the Heifer Ranch, and historic sites such as Little Rock Central High School and the Toltec Mounds are a short drive from The Peabody.

The Southern SAWG conference runs from January 18-21, 2012 and will, as always, be packed with lots of informative sessions and networking opportunities. In addition to the regular conference sessions, we provide you several other exciting ways to learn and grow. Come early to participate in pre-conference events such as short courses, mini courses, field trips, a trade show, the Taste of Arkansas dinner and more.

All the details will be available by October 1st, so check back soon and let’s rock Little Rock!
