Nominate yourself, or someone else (with their permission). As the governing body of the Southern SAWG, the Board of Directors is responsible for long-range and strategic planning, goal setting, prioritizing and evaluation, financial oversight, funding development, and hiring and firing of the Executive Director. Each Board member is elected to a three-year term and required to serve on at least one committee.
All nominees for the Board must be knowledgeable and supportive of SSAWG's mission and goals, live within the Southern region (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia) and be willing to serve a complete term.
