Webinar: Producing Food Products for Commercial Markets

The University of Arkansas (UA) Division of Agriculture is hosting the AR Food Dish Webinar series. The next webinar, Get Cooking in Commercial Markets,  is scheduled for October 20, 2016 from 12-1 pm. Dr. Renee Threlfall, Research Scientist at the UA, will discuss taking arecipe from concept to a commercial market and introduce the Arkansas Food Innovation Center. The farm to table movement is growing in Arkansas. Many communities have created farmers' markets, established community gardens, started serving farm fresh food in school cafeterias and more. Arkansas is seeing an increased interests in sustainable agriculture and locally grown foods. A growing number of farms are producing a wide range of locally produced vegetables, fruits, grain, nuts, seeds and livestock. The UA Division of Agriculture offers programs and host events that can help support local food systems development in your community.
