Moms on the Farm Tour [AR]

Tour departs at about 8:30 am to see a dairy, a beef farm, and a chicken farm. Then returns to the Extension office for lunch and cooking demos with the Arkansas Cattlewomen and women from Riceland.

This is a great opportunity to watch cows being milked, pet baby calves, walk through a chicken house, and most importantly, ask questions of farmers and experts in the food industry. Each attendee will receive a gift bag and cookbook full of recipes from the hosts! Tour returns to Bentonville at about 12:30, and program will be done by 3 pm.

In the past, there has been some confusion about bringing kids. The tour is not really set up to host small kids, so there is a minimum age of 14.

Moms on the Farm Tour is free and includes lunch, but space is limited, so contact Janeal if you’d like to go with an email (jws09@uark.edu) or a call (870-688-4247).
