Food Systems: Trainings & Educational Opportunities
Since 2003, Southern SAWG has conducted 34
educational sessions focused on Community Food Systems at the past four
Southern SAWG annual conferences, as well as three leadership
trainings.
Educational Sessions at Southern
SAWG Annual Conference
The Southern SAWG Community Foods Program provides a wide variety of
CFS educational opportunities each year at our annual conference,
including a full track of 90-minute sessions, several 4-8 hour
mini-courses, and field trips. The South's leading community project
leaders and experts present at these sessions.

Leadership
Trainings
Our next Leadership Training will be in late spring or summer of 2008.
Since 2005, the
Southern SAWG Community Foods
Program has conducted three two-day leadership trainings covering a
number of topics, including: strategic planning and board development,
budgeting and business management, funding development and evaluation,
asset-based programming and effective communication, and conflict
resolution and anti-racism.
